Scanning from the Lexmark printer to Mac computer

  • The first step is to load the original on the scanner glass or in the ADF of your Lexmark printer.  
  • If you have loaded the original in the ADF, make sure that the document is loaded with its print-side facing up. Similarly, if you have placed the document on the scanner glass of your printer, ensure that the document is loaded with its print-side facing down.
  • Now, on your Mac computer, open the Printers and Scanners window from the System Preferences application.
  • Under the Printers section, locate and click on your Lexmark printer.
  • Now, click the Scan tab followed by the Open Scanner button.
  • The preview of the document will be displayed on the Scanner screen.
  • To change the default scan settings, click on the Show Details button on the Scanner screen.
  • Configure the scan settings as per your preferences.
  • Finally, click the Scan button.
  • Now, your Lexmark printer will scan and save its copy to the connected Mac computer.
